Keyword Prominence

The location of a keyword on a web page.

How to calculate Keyword Density?

Imagine you have a webpage with 500 words, and you want to use the keyword “digital marketing.” If you use the keyword 5 times on that page, here’s how you calculate keyword density:

Keyword density = (Number of times keyword appears / Total words on page) * 100

In this case:

Keyword density = (5 / 500) * 100 = 1%

So, the keyword density for “digital marketing” on your page is 1%. Aim to keep keyword density between 1-2% to avoid problems with search engines and keep your content readable.
